A flavour of our bespoke tours

If you have the task of organising a holiday for yourself, family or friends, look no further for a tailor-made experience.

With our qualified Blue Badge Tour Guide, you will discover truly immersive experiences.

Please contact me for your own unique tour itinerary, based on: the time you have available; which part of Britain you envisage starting (and concluding); the type of accommodation you prefer - which we will then recommend for you; and your culinary wishes including any allergies.  You may have other special requests - this too will be catered for.

And it's not just the Yorkshire pudding that's famous in God's Own Country!  Yorkshire now has more Michelin starred restaurants outside London than any other county in Britain.

We will help you experience and discover:

  • Castles, palaces, gardens and more with Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall, Bolsover Castle, Woolsthorpe Manor, Sir Isaac Newton’s House (and a famous apple tree too!), Castle Howard, Harewood House and many besides!

  • The diversity of Yorkshire - old stone walls and Roman lead mines carrying your eyes across breathtaking views of the Yorkshire Dales, Bronte country, and the North York Moors; stunning coastline around Whitby; and the wonderful, gritty industrial heritage of Yorkshire's cities and iconic railway heritage.

  • Historic York - it can only impress, with almost 2000 years of living history. See York Minster, medieval streets and taste food for every palate.

  • The Lake District – from some of Britain’s most dramatic peaks to lakes, Beatrix Potter, William Wordsworth a magical landscape rich in wildlife, waterlife and natural beauty and John Ruskin–his range of interests and achievements were quite staggering. No visit can be complete without visiting Hawkshead Grammar School. Here you'll have an insight into school life from 1585 to 1909 and spot William Wordsworth's desk and hand carved signature!

  • North Wales and Chester, Port Sunlight, and the Lady Lever Art Gallery. And not forgetting… Liverpool, referred to as the 'New York' of Europe - an historic city between two worlds, Old and New.

  • The 'Castle Coastline' of Northumberland - an unmissable area including Holy Island with its dramatic causeway and Lindisfarne Priory and on to Hadrian's Wall, the most northern frontier of the Roman Empire including Housesteads Fort & the world famous "Vindolanda tablets". Dramatic landscape and walks beyond dreams to be experienced.

  • And now, with worldwide prominence following the Da Vinci Code, the Rosslyn Chapel  and Royal Yacht Britannia, outside Edinburgh.

Don't let this incredible variety faze you, let us help you find a bespoke tour experience.

Yorkshire under cover -

Jane, Travel Writer, NSW, Australia

Nick’s meticulous attention to detail was reflected in every aspect of our five days with him. He interpreted our interests, offering new insights and richness to our stay. He was across everything, answered and expanded on our questions and placed historical details in their context so we Australians felt included in the grand scheme of things! Nick is a lively and charming companion who knows the best places for just about everything.

Outstanding 4-day tour through Yorkshire -

Charlie & Norvell, Richmond, Virginia

Our visit to the Yorkshire Dales with Nick as our guide exceeded our expectations in every way. He planned the trip and tailored it for our particular interests. He took us hiking in the Yorkshire Dales and, last minute, to a peaceful 11th century church when we got some sad news from home. He handpicked each wonderful restaurant and every stop. Best of all, a delightful and intelligent companion for us over our four days. He knows so much about the history, culture, and geography of this beautiful part of England. (We both feel that we have a new friend in Nick and are already planning a return visit to England with Nick as our guide.)

Beyond our expectations -

Becky L, Illinois

Nick is amazingly knowledgeable and considerate, filled with wonderful suggestions for touring the Yorkshire area. We were there to attend a wedding and he met us at the airport with smiles and goodie bags. Much of the four days were spent seeing the countryside, Bronte Museum, and much more. When he dropped us on Monday at our hotel in London, we felt like we were leaving a dear friend. Our memories of England (Yorkshire in particular) will forever be pleasant due to this wonderful, professional man. We highly recommend him.
